Step by step
- 01
Open the site locator
Go to idco.dmdc.osd.mil and choose Site Locator & Appointments. You do not need to log in to search or book.
- 02
Search near you
Enter your location. Look at sites near home, work and your Reserve Center.
The nearest RAPIDS site is often on a different installation than your Reserve Center.
- 03
Pick the reason
Choose the reason that fits, such as 'PIN Reset' or 'Certificate Error'. Not every site offers every service.
- 04
Call the site
Sites differ. Some take walk-ins, some are appointment only, and some are not on the online scheduler at all.
- 05
Book it
Pick a time and confirm. Save the confirmation.
- 06
Bring the right things
Bring two forms of ID and your current card. For a lost or stolen card, ask the site about local rules first.
One state office wants a counseling statement from an E-7 or higher before it replaces a lost card.
Why it gets kicked back
- ! Not every site is on the online scheduler.
- ! Lost or stolen card rules are local.
- ! A name change must go through IPPS-A first. RAPIDS cannot change your name in DEERS for you.
