About
What this is
A personal, unofficial help desk built by a 304th Cyber Battalion Soldier for the people in it. It exists because the official help is spread across a dozen sites, much of it is written for HR staff, and a lot of it only opens on the Army network.
Unofficial. Not an official U.S. Army, Army Reserve, or DoD website, and not endorsed by them. Guides point to official sources; when they disagree, the official source wins. Never type your SSN or any password here. Form tools build PDFs inside your browser; nothing you type is sent or saved.
OPSEC rules for this site
This site is public. These never go on it:
- ✕ Rosters, recall lists, unit phone trees, or anyone's personal contact info
- ✕ SSNs, DoD ID numbers, dates of birth, or screenshots with real personal data
- ✕ Anything marked CUI or FOUO, or internal-only system addresses
- ✕ Mission, deployment, exercise, or drill schedule details beyond what the Army has made public
- ✕ Army or Army Reserve logos, unit insignia, or anything that makes this look official
Guides are built from published regulations, official FAQs, and public help pages. If you spot something that should not be here, tell the site owner at Battle Assembly and it comes down the same day.
How the walkthroughs are made
- A script is written from the official steps, one short spoken line per click.
- The narration is rendered with a local, open-source AI voice. No real person’s voice is cloned.
- The screens are recorded on the real system. Before recording, every name, DoD ID, and dollar amount on the page is swapped in the browser for a made-up Soldier, “SPC Test Soldier.” Anything that slips through is blurred in editing, and the address bar is cropped.
- A person watches the final cut against the live system and dates it. Each guide shows when it was last checked.
How “Ask” works
Your question is matched to guides on this site. When AI answers are switched on, only those matched guides and your question (with anything that looks like an SSN, DoD ID, phone number, or email removed first) are sent to the model, and nothing is stored. The answer always links the guide it came from.
