On AT or school orders but no pay yet
You know when pay on orders should show up and what to bring your unit admin if it does not.

Filmed on the live system with a CAC, every name and number swapped for a test Soldier before recording.
Step by step
- 01
Get a signed copy before you go
Ask your unit admin for a signed copy of your orders. Pay and DTS both need it.
- 02
Know when pay comes
Orders of 30 days or more pay on the 1st and 15th. Orders of 8 to 29 days can be set up to pay near your last day of duty.
- 03
Check myPay 8 to 10 days in
Look for an LES or a pay entry. If nothing shows, your orders may not have been entered yet.
- 04
Talk to your unit admin
Give them your order number and dates. The unit admin must enter your signed order so pay can start.
An older Army Reserve finance guide set 72 hours from the signed order for short orders. Ask early.
- 05
Open a case if it stalls
If your unit admin cannot fix it, open an IPPS-A case with 'Create a Case' and keep the case number.
- 06
Keep records
Save the orders, your LES, and every case number and email.
Why it gets kicked back
- ! No signed orders means no pay and no DTS voucher.
- ! Orders are moving into IPPS-A in stages, so it may not be clear where your order lives. Ask your unit admin.
- ! Army Reserve unit pay has not fully moved into IPPS-A yet. Your order still has to reach the DFAS pay system.
- ! AROWS is an Air Force system, not an Army Reserve one.
